It is only natural to want to settle for a RFID
tag from one of the RFID companies in Delhi, considering the wholesome
range of benefits RFIDs provide over other scanning / tracking systems like
barcode. Although, like the saying goes, nothing is perfect, RFIDs like every
other object have certain shortcomings.
The
disadvantages of RFIDs
·
A bit
high on the budget: Everything
comes at a price, considering the range and line of sight benefit RFIDs provide
over barcodes, one could easily guess that it would cost higher. However one
could still manage to draw a balance in the price range by selecting from the
different types of RFIDs. The passive RFIDs are relatively cheaper and almost
in range of barcode prices. The Active RFIDs however, due to their complex
structure, are generally pretty expensive. Further, RFID tags are highly
sustainable and do come in a reusable variety, hence, inspite of being high on
one time investment, RFIDs could mean cost-efficiency in the longer run.
· Difficulty
in comprehension: The
functioning on RFIDs is not as simple as other primitive scanning / tracking devices.
With various pivotal components like the tag microchip, tag antenna, reader
transmitter and RFID computer system, the function of the entire system can get
a bit difficult to get used to on the users end. To eliminate this conflict buy
from one of the RFID Tags Suppliers in India, who provide systems with a more user-friendly interface?
·
Difficulty
in non-radio friendly zones:
The very element that renders RFIDs with its strength also renders it with its
drawback, the radio frequency. Now since the entire thing operates based on
transmitting of Radio waves, RF dead zones make it extremely difficult for
these objects to operate with efficiency. For example, areas surrounded with
water and metal, will prove very intimidating to these devices. Now to minimize
the intensity of this setback, ask your Boom Barrier Manufacturer and Supplier in India, to
hook you up with the Low Frequency tags that have a longer wavelength for a
superior performance in non-radio friendly zones.
·
Unauthorized
reading: Since RFIDs don't
always need to be interrogated by a reader for signal transmission, rather
continuously transmit data every 3-5 seconds, at times there might be an
occurrence of unauthorized reading. However, this possibility exists only while
using an active tag, passive tags provide no such setback as they transmit
signal only upon being interrogated by a reader.
