Which RFID system do you need – Let’s Check Out

With the gaining popularity of RFID systems, various companies from a diverse sector of fields like, logistics, retail, security, IT, managements, HR and such are aiming to integrate their day-to-day work schedule with these radio-wave based scanning devices. However, before making your purchase with one of the RFID Integrated Reader Suppliers, it is pivotal that you are well aware of the types of RFIDs available in the market. Get to know the type of RFID that suits best the order of your business.

Thy types of RFIDs

The RFID tags are essentially divided into two categories, active RFIDs and passive RFIDs. The active and passive RFIDs are further divided into many more sub-categories.

The active RFID systems: The very integral concept of active RFIDs is that they are powered by their own batteries that help the tags to continuously broadcast their radio signals. These tags don't need receivers to interrogate them for transmitting signals. RFID Companies in Delhi NCR provide active RFID tags that function on two primary frequencies, 433 MHz and 915 MHz. Industries tend to prefer the 433 MHz RFID tags as with longer wavelength,  they perform better with materials such as metal and water. Both the 433 MHz and 915 MHz RFID tags are further divided into two types, Transponders and beacons.

·         Transponders: The transponders transmit radio signal only when inquired by the reader. Transponder tags are greatly energy efficient, as they conserve battery when they are out of range of the reader.

·         Beacons: The beacon tags, justifying its namesake, transmits signal every three to five seconds, irrespective of the reader's presence. Reading signals from over hundreds of meters away, beacons are very effective with oil, mining and cargo industries. Read More:
